Born in the United States and raised between
Italy and the U.S., Elisa Barucchieri graduated Phi Beta
Kappa, Magna cum Laude, from Middlebury College, Vermont,
USA, with a double major in Dance and Anthropology.
With a past as alpine ski racer, she began dance at Middlebury
College.
Elisa dances for Susanne Linke and collaborates with Teatro
Kismet OperA in Bari, and with the directors Enzo Toma and
Francesca Lisco, as dancer, and in projects of theater dance,
theater and theater and handicap.
She collaborates with Susanne Linke, Carolyn Carlson, Daniele
Cipriani Entertainment and Laban Center as assistant and
translator in Italy.
Elisa has danced for and been assistant to Jacques Heim
(Diavolo Dance, Le Cirque du Soleil) and Andrea Olsen (Bodystories,
a Guide to Experiential Anatomy), and has danced for Simona
Bucci (Imago), Peter Schmitz, Becker-Zambrano-Fleming, in
Italy, the United States, France, Switzerland, Holland,
Germany.
In Renaissance Dance, she has danced in Europe for Il Ballarino,
under the guide of Andrea Francalanci and Bruna Gondoni,
for Veronique Daniels, and for Ensemble Calixtinus, where
she co-directed several creations.
Elisa has been frame drum percussionist for Cantaiatra,
Bari, and has worked as dancer and percussionist for I Giullari
di Piazza, New York.
In 2002 she is selected for Accademia Isola Danza, La Biennale
di Venezia, and then also to represent the academy in Italy
and abroad.
Certified as teacher by the Federazione Italiana Danza,
gold level, she teaches in Italy and Norway, and her students
have been admitted to and won scholarships for Folkwang
Hochschule, Essen, Germany, The Laban Centre, London, UK,
Scuola d’Arte Drammatica Paolo Grassi, Milan, Italy,
and dance professionally in Italy and abroad. |
